A plan to scrap FEMA in favour of a new organization called the National Preparedness and Response Authority (NPRA) is in the works. Cool -- replace one ineffectual authority with another.

Family of a slain soldier receives from the military the wrong body. However could this happen? Well, from my own experience in the military, I have one document stating that my blood type is O positive, while another says it is O negative. Scrap the military...?
Oil prices continue to rise
While others are pointing this out, I have to as well: Both Bush & Cheney are "oil men", as well as business men. How is it in their best interests to seek to lower prices or seek any form of alternative energy sources? The rich will forever get richer, while only the rest of us suffer.

I didn't catch what prompted the employer, but a Fresno woman has filed a million dollar lawsuit against her employer because her employer had spanked her at work in front of coworkers. What would possess anyone to perform this kind of punishment of an employee -- particularly an employee who is not their child? Shades of the movie "The Secretary" gone more wrong than can be believed.
