Long hair suggesting small penis?

In the Tech Chronicles in the San Jose Mercury News I find that the length of Sun Microsystems new CEO Jonathan Schwartz's hair is leaving some thinking less is more. According to San Francisco public relations executive Joelle Kenealey, Schwartz wearing a pony-tail, apparently does not instill confidence.

While I hardly think this news worthy, I think the real issue is that we're under the thumb of those who seem to think image equals prowess. Let's forget that each & every one of us is an individual, &, as such, have our own preferences, experiences, etc. Let's diminish the abilities, the knowledge, & the experience of anyone who isn't pretty...oh -- wait. We already do that.

So, since our president isn't exactly GQ material, I guess he doesn't instill much confidence either. Of course, as the ubiquitous confidence polls show us, his case hasn't anything to do with his appearance.

I've never thought Julia Roberts particularly attractive, or Donald Trump, or countless others considered successful in their fields. Are they any less capable of doing their jobs? Perhaps we should shut each of us not pretty in the eyes of those in positions of supposed authority away. Maybe we should just be eliminated by roving patrols of execution super models.

Or better, maybe we should all just grow the fuck up.
